O.K, so I don't have a picture to go with this story because at the time I was incredibly embarrassed and distracted to snap a photo, but I will try to paint it for you in your minds. Today me and Brooklyn ran to Walmart to grab a few things for some craft projects that I have been working on. I needed some wood glue and then some sewing stuff (yes, I said sewing... that's a whole other story for another time). Anyway, as I was grabbing the material I needed I hear, "Uh-oh, mommy, uh-oh" I turned around to find Brooklyn holding a quickly emptying glue bottle. She had dumped it all over herself, the cart, and the floor! I tried to wipe up as much as I could while it was still wet and sticky. I quickly stripped her down to her pull-up before it managed to get in her hair, and cleaned up the cart and floor. So if I wasn't embarrassed enough about her spilling, I start thinking... here I am 6 months pregnant in my sweats running through Walmart with my mostly naked 2 year old. Boy did I feel a bit trashy. Ha ha ha. So I grab a cute little Halloween outfit that was on sale and quickly dressed Brooklyn again. I started lecturing her on how what she did was not being a good girl. I asked her if she understood and she replied "Yes, mam". I then asked her if she did it just to get a new outfit out of it and she replied "Yes, mam". Two things ran through my head, A - Was she really understanding what I was saying, and B- She should not be planning on ways to con us into buying new clothes yet! Doesn't that come when she is like 15?! What a day.
