A lot of you know that I enjoy to do crafts but I will be the first one to admit that I don't sew! I have never sewn anything more then 2 pieces of material in a straight line, ha ha. I attempted to make Ethan a quilt out of some of our old jeans and stuff and well... that took me 4 years to finish! So this year I had set a goal for myself that I would try and start learning. I was joking around to my mother-in-law that maybe I would even make the blessing dress for our new baby. Well, the joke turned into an actual attempt. Debbie was so excited so I didn't want to let her down but I have to tell you I really didn't think I could do it. After many restless hours, mistakes, modifications, and my very patient husband staying up way past his bed time just to calm me down and help, I have actually put together somewhat of a dress!!! Now if you sew PLEASE DON'T look close, ha ha. I am very proud of the outcome! (It is probably a good thing that she only needs to wear it for the blessings and pictures, but hey, I did it!) Thank you everyone for all of your patience, support, and help.
These were my practice objects before the dress and just some fun things for the baby. Thanks Kim for teaching me your tricks and secrets on the tu-tu's and appliques :)

You did a wonderful job! Congratulations! The dress is beautiful. That and the other things look like they are professionally done. Keep it up. Sewing is so much fun. Love, Aunt Karen
Love them all!! Way to go!
Seriously - so amazing! I can't sew. I own a machine and really want to learn to make something other than a napkin. One day. Thanks for the inspiration!
I forgot to tell you today, I love the dress. you are very talented!
