Houston

Well first off I would like to report that our potty training efforts are going much much better! We bought Brooklyn a little plastic potty, and for the next few days after our finger painting incident we just let her run around the house naked, and ya know what... It worked! I guess that when she had undies on she thought that that was as good as a diaper so I tried this and it seemed to work great. And she still seems to like pull-ups a little better then her undies which I think is weird, but we have gone days with only maybe one wet or dirty pull-up! Yeah Brooklyn! Now knock on wood that we didn't just jinx ourselves.

This last weekend we also had Ethan's brother Ulysses and his family come down to visit. We felt bad that they came all this way to go to Sea World just to find out that they were closed this week, well, lets just say that pretty much everything in Texas was closed this week. I guess the week school starts they switch to a new weekend only schedule. Totally dumb. Anyway, one of the only few parks open was the Houston Aquarium. In my opinion it was really neat. I think they even had better aquariums then Sea World (Sea World just has good shows). So on Wednesday we drove down to Houston. On our way down we secretly stopped by my brother's mission office and dropped off fresh chocolate chip cookies. Don't worry, I didn't get to see him sadly, so we just left them and a note on his desk. Boy do we all miss him! It is really weird to realize that he is only 2 1/2 hours from me and I can't go give him a hug. We are so proud of him and love him very much!
Well, back to the Aquarium. It was really neat. Brooklyn loved all of the fish and even though she still can't say many words she sure didn't stop babbling the entire time, telling us all about what she was seeing. She got to ride on her first Farris wheel, carousel, and train. The only one we could obviously tell that she liked was the train, the other two I don't think she could decide. Ha ha. But we did have a lot of fun and are glad that family was able to come visit!
