So this week started out with quite a bang. Our kitchen faucet had been leaking for a couple of days and Ethan wanted to attempt to fix it. Which was fine till he wanted to take a break and have a quick shower not realizing that if he turned the water back on while the faucet was off would cause it to completly overflow the kitchen counter and floor. So Wednesday night after cleaning everything up we caved on trying to fix the dumb faucet and just bought a new one. Now before we made the bigger purchase we tried to check our bank account balance online only to find out that our computer was having some serious issues too. So while Ethan installed the new faucet I spent hours trying to save all of our pictures and files to c.d.'s. It was a very long night.

The following day my wonderful husband saved the day again as he talked on the phone for hours with the computer people. We had to do a complete recovery on it which means that everything that was on it has now been deleted. Luckily I was able to save all of our pictures and some files.
Thursday night after our long day we decided to go play in the rain (that only lasted maybe 15 min.) but was a blast!

Well today I am excited but sad to say that it was my last day working at AcroTex Gymnastics. I absolutly loved the girls but family does come first and I need to stay at home with Brooklyn and the little one on the way. I want to wish all of the girls the best of luck this season!
Now this week we have also started the graduation process from diapers to big girl undies, which had been going fairly well with even a few success stories.
UNTIL.....
Today. I had gotten home from my last day of work and had laid Brooklyn down for her nap. It was very quiet so I assumed she was asleep. After about 10 minutes I went in to check on her and planning on just covering her up with a blanket and I was horrified at what I found. Brooklyn had taken off her diaper which was completly clean and dry and set it aside a huge mess of smeared poop!!! It was all over the floor (yes rubbed into the carpet), smeared all over the bedroom door, which she tried to clean it up with her blankets. It was in her hair, between her toes and everywhere else you could think of. I was so upset at first I had to clean her up before I could bring myself to take any pictures, and the pictures to not do it justice because the carpet is fairly dark and it is only a small portion of the mess.
Now I assume that a lot of you will get a kick out of this last story which is why I put it on here, but seriously if anyone has any potty training ideas that will help I am willing to try them all!!!

I've been laughing about this ever since I got the voicemail 5 hours ago! It's SOOOOO funny--to me. I know you're pissed. One day we can laugh about it together. Sorry about the faucet--
Lastly, on the potty training advice---unfortunetly your guess is as good as mine. :)
Seriously thought, I will ask my mom if she has any ideas like I promised.
Here's to hoping for a better week next week
You're right Kels! It DID make me laugh! LOL! That's awful...and hilarious at the same time! And I don't have any potty training advice. In fact, I'm sure I am going to be the one asking YOU for advice for my own child! I just hope mine doesn't take after your daughter's "creative finger painting"! Haha! Love ya Girl!
Oh I just LOVE it!!!! Poop EVERYWHERE :) That is way to Funny!!! Good Luck
My best potty training advice is to #1 wait until she's 3 and #2 wait until the baby is born since most little ones revert back with all the new changes a new baby brings. Waiting until they are a bit older makes the process so much easier. I know it is hard to do diapers for that long but it is seriously better emotionally for both you and her.
That's just my advice take it or leave it.
I am lucky that Morgyn never did that. She is just barely potty trained. Hang in there. It's tough. I learned with Morgyn that she had to be ready and she would do it on her own time. Very frustrating but it worked.
